My Future Career
By: Michael Bifano
When I am older I want to be a Marine sniper. When you are a Marine sniper you go to war to protect the U.S.A. and other ground troops at war with enemies. To get this job you must take a test and have good accuracy at a Marine sniper school.

To join the Marines you need a high school diploma. First you must complete boot camp which is 12 weeks of basic Marine training. Then you need to go to advanced infantry training. Now if you qualify for a Marine sniper you will go to scout sniper school for 10 weeks. If you are lucky you might become a scout sniper.

Math and social studies are the core subjects you need to become a Marine scout sniper. You use math to help calculate the distance and angles of targets. You can use social studies for knowledge of the area and the people who live in the area where you are stationed. I need to work hard in math and social studies. I need to keep myself in shape and work hard.

I chose this job because my dad was in the Marines and I want to take after him. I am well-suited for this job because I will try my best to be a Marine scout sniper and I will not give up trying. I read and watch shows about the Marines so that I can know all about them.
